Kontiki Bamboo Works LTD, founded in 2018 by Dr. Koojo Charles Amooti, is a Ugandan eco-friendly enterprise located in the Albertine Graben, Western Uganda. We produce high-quality bamboo products for the construction and hospitality industries, offering sustainable alternatives to non-biodegradable materials.

With a current 780-acre plantation, we aim to expand to 1,200 acres by 2025 and launch the “Bamboo Per Household Initiative” to plant 100 million seedlings, promoting community reforestation. Having invested $450,000, Kontiki Bamboo targets creating 50,000+ jobs in five years. Our model includes farmer training, seedling provision, awareness campaigns, and green manufacturing, driving Uganda’s green economy and sustainable development.
